What is recovery and why is it needed?

 When we turn off our mobile and then

 Volume Up + Power button

 OR

 Volume Up + Power + Home Button

 Press together then the factory setting opens in front which we call recovery and we need it when our mobile is not turned on and then we go to the recovery and reset it and the mobile turns on and so on.  very much ........
